I need to give Tilly her Bath BUT I am concerned about the weather being cold and having her in warming her up and then poping her back after into her coldish hutch any ideas what do you do when you bath yours this time of year? I have no idea what section this should be in so have popped it here! :) :)

I keep mine in overnight the day I bathe them in Winter and then put them back in the shed the next day, late morning when it's not so cold. I know many owners who never bathe them in the colder months but sometimes it is a necessity. Good luck O0

Yep tilly needs bathing on a regular basis she is a very moody messy texel ::) ::) ::) and she really smells I am trying to leave it a little longer between baths but she really does need it now!

Yeah I'd put her in a box (or carry case if you have one) indoors with a towel & hot water bottle and keep her in overnight. Again, good luck O0 rather you than me mate! (BTW as she's a long hair do you use a blow dryer? I used to with mixed reactions! :) >:( ;D :tickedoff:)

yeah she doesnt mind the hair dryer as long as she has some thing to munch on whilst I do it, its the brushing she HATES ::)

I know it sort of off topic but thats what I did because of the fireworks, bought them in before it got too cold and popped them back out the next day once the sun had warmed the shed, and they are all fine....weren't half pleased to be back in the shed though ;D ;D

I would bath her in the morning and dry her with a hairdryer she will be fine ;)

Give a her an early bath and a blow dry...just make sure she is not damp in anyway before she goes back O0

i was thinking about this, this morning. they starting to smell lol but i think I'm going to leave them for a while because i only bathed them 6 week ago. id probably use hair dyer this time off year too O0

I remember reading somewhere not to bathe more than every three months cos it's bad for their skin and can dry them out and wreck their natural oils. Just a thought! O0

Guess it's just down to peoples opinions - lots of people bath them every 4-6 weeks (as recommended by Gorgeous Guineas I think). Personally I think that's way too much but some people have no problems with it O0 Some people also never have any problems with never bathing them though so yeah..

Thankfully I don't have this problem because mine are inside but not sure what I'd do, sorry

I dont bath all my piggies every 6 weeks I just do tilly as she is the worst being long haired the others I will just keep a eye on over the winter and if they are smelly then they will be done :) In the summer they all get done on a regular basis.

yeah i dont want to bath mine more than every 3 months, thats why I'm leaving them for a while, they get too stressed out, so I'm just putting up with their smell lol

I'd give her that bath, but keep her in for a day or two, until she warms up back to normal.
I would never bathe piggies seperately, as they may lose each other's scent and fight, so you might as well give the all baths.
