Hey guys, sorry to bother you!

I was just about to buy some guinea shampoo online, to use on my boys when they get a bit older (then mabye they'll be friends!).

Do you think its better to buy the normal guinea pig shampoo, or buy the anti mite/lice shampoo? They dont have lice or anything but maybe I'm better to us that on them just incase. Will this anti lice shampoo do the job of covering up each boys smell so they can try and get along, or is this better done with a norma gp shampoo? x

I would say normal shampoo, i would imagine the mite/lice/antifungal has more additives and will be harsher on the skin when its not needed, i may be wrong there, however asn antifungal/mite shampoo is always a handy thing to have, so if the funds allow it i would get both. x

Thanks toffee, you're totally right - I know how sensitive their skin is so putting them through a harsher shampoo when not needed **** isn't the best idea :) Where is my common sense! xx

I've tried all sorts tbh, Gorgeous Guineas do nice ones but the best I have used is the Johnson's Insectisidal - it makes the piggies hair sooo soft and fluffy. I have two very long haired X Coronet boys that can get a bit greasy and mucky and this shampoo does the job. They are like big furry monsters after their baths x) (or nom nomsters as I call them)

nom monsters! lol thats cute :)

I have one rather long haired little man, looking forward to see what he looks like afterwards! xx
