When you are just gving your piggies a general bath what product do you use.

I have a general small animal shampoo and a neem one from GG.

i have the just for boars one for my boys, posh 'n' go for my sheltie, and the 4 oil one for all the rest!

The posh 'n' go shampoo and conditioner are amazing for long haireds!

I've just been using water Sunshine still hasn't had a bath, he's an Aby so haven't seen the need, the girls are smooth and haven't had a bath either. The only one who needs one is Twinkle, he is looking a bit yellow I noticed yesterday, going to get some posh and go for him I think, he'll hate it! :D

I've recently bought shampoo from GG and I also got the Coco Neem Melt as well but I've yet to try it, thinking of bathing them at the weekend so it should be interesting! ;D

I had the Posh n Go products for my longhairs, cant use it now though cos its out of date.

Will have to pay another visit to the GG website.

Oh have you smelt the melt yet? I warn you its quite stinky.

No it doesnt linger that badly. Have you got the neem shampoo as well?

Aww i really need to wash my guinea pigs (specaily crispy) But i think i'm going to have to wait untill summer...

i havent bought anything from GG yet but i keep hearing how fantastic their stuff is!

my boys smell quite strongly! i've never had boys before and only had these a week, do you think it's just because they've been scent marking everything lots and it'll pass or should i bath them? dont want to freak them out as they've only just got here! :-\

I wouldnt bath the yet Grommit, give them some time to settle in. Boys do tend to have a stronger smell, well at least my boys do.

I am worried about bathing Twinkle, I don't want to give him cold. Should I blow wave him and keep him in the living room for an afternoon? He is a house pig anyway and is in the utility room which is the right temp for them.

Ive got two boys to bath this weekend, they will get done on Friday night/Saturday morning, they will then stay indoors until they are completely dry and hopefully go back outside to a cage stuffed with hay on Sunday.

Twinkle should be fine as long as he in completely dry before you put him back outside and then give him lots of hay.

Thanks Vicky, Utility room is indoors and they are on fleece but I'll give loads more hay in the bedding area. He won't allow Sunshine in the sleeping quarters, Sunshine don't care he has the rest of the hutch to himself!...lol

Thanks vicky, I'll give them a few months to settle then. They will be meeting their prospective wives in couple of weeks time anyway so i assume that will cause lots of boys smells anyway! (they have had the 'op'!) :)

S&T, they dry quicker than you expect. I was worried about bathing mine, as my room is quite cold. I just put them near the radiator for a bit, then they went back in their cage in the evening. They were fine.

Thanks! I have bathed Twinkle before but tend to be more cautious now just incase. :)

I assume you will be pairing them up into two pairs and not leaving them as a group of 4 piggies. You will get fighting if you keep all 4 together.

yup two sets of two! the girls dont get on with each other at all so we thought we'd get them a boyfriend each. :)

Thats cool Grommit, hope they all get along fine when they meet each other.
