Bathing

How often would you say you should bath your piggies?

They have had a bath in the past due to one piggy in particular being very persistent when she has been in season and ended up with wee all over her (and everyone else for that matter). But should you do it often? Like every few months or something?

hi i think about every 3 to 4 months, not to often as it's not good for there coat.

It depends on the breed and if they do get dirty.

I bath my long haired pigs every 3 months, 6 months for short haired pigs. All depends though. I've a very smelly 2 year old boar who puts his boar juice on everything! rolleyes

I have 2 short-haired guinea pigs and they probably get bathed every 6 months. They had their last bath around Christmas time so I will be giving them a bath in the next month or so.

We used to give our piggies a bath, but one of them hated it and was very scared, so we seen piggy wipes (I think it was in pets at home) and we just clean them with them every few months or whenever their a bit smelly

that sounds fab,but i would think a bath is much more hygenic than wipes,just so you can be sure any mucky bits get washed off,and believe me lots of piggies hate getting baths but they do get used to it x
