Beautiful Margalo

I found Margalo dead this morning. I am a little gutted to say the least :-\ She showed no signs of illness she was about 5-6 years old and had had a good battle with Ovarian Cysts which she won thanks to the CCT.
She was my daughters favourite piggie & I'm dreading telling her tonight. I might put it off for a day though because she's started school full time today which she was very nervous about & I don't want to knock her confidence with this. The herd will look very strange without her.

I know it is very hard for you, Hilary, but keep in mind that there is nothing nicer for a piggy to just fall asleep of old age, with all piggy friends around her, in her familiar surroundings, with no pain and no worry.

I think that you couldnt have wished her a nicer way to go.

I am very sorry, and I know you will feel awful for a long time.. we have all been through this, and know what a horrible feeling it is :(

I'm really sorry to read this Hils, she was a beautiful beautiful lady and I'm glad I got to meet her!

Thanks guys - I do feel a bit deflated but am glad it seemed to be a peaceful passing, Emily & Sue are acting out of sorts so I've moved them out to a completely different hutch which they've never been in so I'm hoping that they won't be associating it with her - if that makes sense!
At least I have peace of mind that Margalo had the best of care and wasn't PTS as the vet suggested saw her Ovarian Cysts last year. I'm glad we fought for her because it mad the passing much easier.
Now I need to put a foot up my own bum & clean out & disinfect her hutch, joy! I think I'll have a cuppa first & make the best piggy salad for the rest of them :smitten:

Margalo was a beautiful girl with the most wonderful Mummy going and I know she'll be looking down on you with a smile...
 
I'm so sorry Hils. She was a gorgeous piggy and had a fabulous life with you. It's wonderful (yet awful) that she died of old age, but at least she was loved.
RIP Margalo, you're very missed :'(
