I read all these beautiful tributes to our loved pigs on the rainbow bridge and I know how hard it is to write those and to really think about that little peegs personal traits. So, I got this crazy idea that I want us to write something for our friends that are still around. Whats so special about the pig you have?

Kongo - my big, gentle best buddy. It was so easy to bond with you and you really took me by storm. My heart was so sore from losing Pikachu, and I didnt want another pig. But there you were, with all your fantastic charm! I love that you are so happy all the time and always makes me smile. I love that you stick your nose up and gives kisses when I say "kiss kiss". I love that your chasing after me and wants to sit on my feets. Thank you for being my Kongolove. I'm so proud to have such a big and handsome boy!




Djingis Kahn - I'm sorry I often get so mad at you, my little terror. I love your energy, your loudness and that you are so curious and just leaps away wherever you want to. I love that you chase the tail you dont have. I love to give you those syringes of critical care you dont need but really loves. You're such a little mess with a very vibrant personality. Thank you for being such a cute little terrorist and I'm sorry for all those times I said I'm gonna eat you because you are so sweet and always have food around your mouth.

Stripe, we became so close when you almost died and I nursed you back to health. We both dreaded those nighttime antibiotics and I hated disturbing you after work. You have been well six months with CBS. It means so much to me to watch you zoom and popcorn around. You're so sweet to me.



Chez, I swear at you when you inappropriately ask for a cookie and you don't like to be handled, but you are slowly letting me pet you. You're naughty but funny. You chut all around and are so happy.

Miriam, you came into my life last September, with Moses, having been rescued from the woods.
The foster carer and the rescue nursed you back to health.
How could I not want to bring you home and love you after such an awful start.
You are a stunningly beautiful piggy who was so scared all the time.
Gradually you began to wheek, you came out of hiding even if I was around.
You stopped trying to escape from health checks and weigh ins.
You now come almost to the bars for your morning lettuce leaf.
You are showing a lovely feisty personality and I am so glad you live here.



Moses, your story is the same as Miriam’s.
You are the cutest black teddy who has a healthy appetite and I love seeing you out of your hidey to eat.
You are such a gentle boar and share a close bond with Miriam.
You have an amazing range of rumbles.



I love that you are confident enough not to want to be in the same place all the time, but still like to snuggle up together

Again I'm sorry I was angry at you around 4-5 this morning when you just wanted to tell the whole world you moved around your house and some other stuff in your cage. Of course you are free to design however and I really love you are so creative. I wont stop you again, I see your potential to be a FAB 5. I do adore your very clear communication skills, my high pitched Royal.

Dignified Sir George,
Daddy Slave brought you and another boy home as a surprise present. You were much bigger, had irregular/uncertain colouring and I thought you would eventually be long haired as you were a bit fluffy around the edges. He was stunningly beautiful but it was you I fell for. You happily let me pick you up and immediately snuggled up and purred. You have always been very chilled and over the years have often surprised me with your intelligence. It wasn't long before you started sleeping on me at lap time, after telling me about your day. I love that you are so fastidious with your potty habits and always let us know when you need to go back home for a pee.

Mischievous Master Boris,
We were told about a lonely boy needing a home when Sir George needed a new cage mate. We went to see you and immediately fell in love with your gorgeous blond fur and Ruby eyes. We were warned that you were quite nippy but adopted you anyway. The bonding was smooth and Sir George quickly taught you some manners. It didn't take long for you to realise that you enjoyed lap time and the first time you fell asleep cuddling me I was overjoyed. There's not much going on in that head of yours but you enjoy life and we love you anyway you beautiful idiot. You are now so affectionate that you actually give us kisses.
You boys are so different and I think that is a wonderful thing.
