I keep my GP`s indoors when the temperature is below 3 degrees and especially when there is a wind chill. The problem then is bedding. Hay is OK for outdoors but indoors it makes a BIG mess and it smells of stables. Wood chip is not healthy, so I use shredded paper.

The problem is getting hold of it. I have 12 GP`s which need a change of bedding 3 times a week. Industrial shedders sold in shops now shred their papers into small diamonds the size of confetti. Nowadays you simply can`t buy traditional industrial size `long strip` shredders.

Any ideas on this matter would be greatfully received.

i use a little office shredder and keep a sack to store it in, in the cupboard under our stairs.

i dont use shredded paper often, but tend to collect it for if i run out of megazorb

Well, since posting the question i have discovered the best way forword. I use an office shedder and shred newsprint. Its very soft and an ideal `no cost` bedding for indoor use.
