Hi guys

just bought a c&c cage (so excited)... i am thinking about bedding for it... i am currently using carefresh and i LOVE it. However, i am trying to weigh up the cost and i cant see it being very cheap filling a c&c cage with it. Iv used a full bag already only been using it a week.

Theres no way i am using sawdust, since using carefresh iv realised how messy sawdust is... was thinking about fleece but not too keen...

Anyway, iv seen some compressed hay at pets at home and i thought about that over newspaper.... However, iv got a small bag of this hay now and it seems to have bits of sharp twigs in it and things that i have had to sift through and remove...

Has anyone got any ideas of a bedding i can use that will keep the cost down?

Thanks 8)

sorry for all the posts, i dont know whats wrong with this computer its going really slow and i cant seem to navigate round the forum...

cool iv just bought some off that link...

looks much cheaper than the carefresh, as much as i light it its expensive...

Thank you xx

Hi I am a new piggy owner too and changed to fleece within the first month - I know you were thinking about it but weren't too keen - but I wouldn't change to anything else now.... Mine are baby fleece blankets :)) and they work so well after washing them about 4 times before using them.... Once the blankets have been bought (I also bought some new towels to replace my the ones I started using for piggies & also a pet wash bag to stop washer clogging up, although you can use an old duvet cover) that's it really and all the lovely hay you buy is used for piggies to much & popcorn on :))

I started off with woodshavings (stopped as soon as found out not good), then hay on newspaper but the daily poop search got too much as it was difficult to find! @) and the newspaper got in a really soggy mess...
