I have always given my piggie Tilly lots of brocoli and curly kale, which i feed her everyday probs a handful of kale and 2 to 3 bits of brocoli, and half maybe sometimes a full carrot. does this sound way too much? I also give her a petshop ceral stick thing about once/twice a week, but I dont know if i should and if they are bad or not and if i should remove them ( i dont know how much sugar they have), but she really likes them. I have read broccoli and kale can gass out their tummy and should be in moderation? but these are the foods she sqeaks for and has alwas had them with no probs.( she is 2 and a half now) She also loves apple which should only be given as a treat. I think she loves the foods that arent good for her...so i have tried different things....

i have tried cucumber, lettice ( not iceberg ) tomoto, pepper, herbs, dandelion leaves, cress,a blueberry, cabbage and grass and she is having none of it!

if i give her lettuce and cucumber she looks as me as if to say " silly woman, what are you giving me that soggy thing for?!" {:|

and some foods such as tomoto she jumps and runs a mile away like she is scared of it. She is a funny thing ... I cant beleive she doesnt even eat fresh grass and just ignores it......

I'm going to attempt today to go sit by her and eat cucumber, as if she hears me eating something she squeaks and wants it :)

has anyone tried corn on the cob? you give it them raw right? I'm dying to find another food she loves!:)

i have stopped feeding her the petshop sticks as vet said she is a little overweight. anyone got any advice on introducing new foods, as she is still only having, carrot, apple, broccoli, and curly kale. I'm thinking its bad for her to eat too much of these foods. thanks!

Have you tried orange? My piggies love orange, they really take their time with it and they love it :D

No i havent thanks i shall try it she doesnt seem to like anything soggy tho! fussy piggie. i wish she would just like letice, cucumber and grass like everyone else lol

Mine like corn on the cob. They take it raw and if you find some with leaves on they can have them too.
Mine also like Coriander. I wonder if you persevere with some of the other things she may come to like them.... like grass and peppers maybe
x

I'd suggest parsley and coriander as well and celery leaves. Also Keep perservering and putting bits in again. Putt can be really fussy and sometimes will run a mile from brocooli but other times its the first thing she goes for (after parsley).

You could try small bits of water melon as well.

Also she never use to touch cabbage but now loves it, so keep trying even if it seems a miss at first.

Have you tried Chircory!? I think thats how you spell it!
Mine love it, they seem to only eat the leaves at the top and not the white at the bottom! :))
Mine love melon aswell!

thanks for the suggestions! i havent tried chircory and i will try corriander. I tried celery leaves with no luck! I'm hoping when i get another piggy they will persuade her to try new foods , thats the plan! but for now shes just a big fuss pot rolleyes

aw my sow is named Tilly too! :)) she is a great eater!

But my boar is very fussy - one day he will eat carrots and the next he wont!He is the same with most veg, apart from cucumber and tomato!

I am constantly changing his food! :)

I tried baby corn and corn on the cob, but no luck! i mixed celery leaves in with her curly kale this morning and she sniffed and ran away but came back to pick out the bits of kale lol. shes just really aprehensive of new food...like she is scared of it! I'm glad to hear other piggys are fussy eaters too, its not just my Tilly lol. :)
