Benjamin and his abscess wound...nothing too graphic - just a little gruesome!

Benjamin seemed to be feeling a little better this morning. He's still eating me out of house and home, which can only be a good thing. As his abscess wound has dried out, I thought I'd let him have a little bit of time (supervised!) with Dave. Little bit of rumbling in the run, touch of attempted humping, but nothing out of the ordinary. I just hope they'll go back together when Ben's better.

It's been a while mate...how have you been?!

Awww bless Benjamin! he is so gorgeous. Are you back flushing it and keeping the wound open? it doesn't look too bad....he certainly doesn't seem to be bothered!

Thanks guys! Well, he's been in the run all day and so far so good. Ben's off to the vets at 4.40 so will see what they say/do as to whether they can stay together tonight. We'll see!

How did you get on at the vets yesterday?

He's on Baytril until Friday morning when we're going to see them again and see how he's doing. At the mo, he's back in with Dave in the run and they are fine together which is good to see. Ben is a little quieter than normal, but I would imagine he's feeling a little under the weather. I don't need to bother him now until tonight when I'll give him more medicine and attempt to bathe his wound again.
