Bert and Ernie ❤️

We had to put our darling 4 year old Bert to sleep today, after a battle with dental disease and a bladder stone. We lost his brother Ernie to bloat late last year.

We had Bert and Ernie from when they were 5 weeks old - they have lived in our living room and been our constant companions. We don't have children and they have give us so much love and joy. Even on days where life has seemed so cruel and hard, Bert and Ernie were there with their love.

We are so broken and lonely, but full of gratitude for their lives and for their love.

I’m so sorry you lost Bert so soon after losing Ernie. They fill a big space in our lives and in our hearts. Sleep tight little chap
