Recently, I took my neutered boar (Max) to a Rescue Centre for dating and am pleased to say that he got on with 2 sows - Bess and Sparkle.

Bess is estimated to be about a year old. Sparkle is one of her daughters (she was born on 5th November).

Here is their adoption picture.

They are settling in nicely. Max is trying to act the man and spends a lot of time rumbling at either one of them & I have seen him grooming their ears several times.

I have enclosed 2 pictures of them all together.

I am absolutely delighted.

I have been through rough time. Unfortunately, when I had 2 boars, they didn't get on and lived separately. I then lost one of my boars after he developed an abscess after he was neutered.

I am so pleased that Max has found these 2 companions. I highly recommend using a Rescue Centre to find a compatible companion for a guinea pig.

Congratulations on your stunning new piggies! :drool: I am sure things will look up for you now and Max will love his new wifey piggies. They are both really pretty, I love their little ginger stripes.

Oh they are beautiful! They are lovely chocolate colours. I am very happy for you and Max.
 
Congrats! They are a lovely trio and Max sounds like a VERY happy boar!

I agree that dating at a rescue is always worth the trip to make sure that the piggies get on and you don't have to worry about anything.

& Bess has a ginger bottom too - I want to put her is a "rear of the year" competition

Just want to add a disclaimer to this photo as I was a bit concerned about the white flakes on her back. I checked her thoroughly & her skin is OK . I suspect it was just a few bits of hay as they are always rummaging under their hay loft

Yep Milhaven - I'm delighted with the service I've had & I hope all rescue Centres are as good.
 
We have a Sparkle too, so love the name. Ours is black and white and as daft as a brush!
 
Congratulations on the arrival of your girls! No wonder Max is happy with two such beautiful ladies in his life now, and Bess and Sparkle can't help but be impressed with such a handsome fella!
 
aww that gorgeous brown piggie looks exactly like my Lucky Lou!

so glad he's found some beautiful lady pigs lucky man!
