Best Nuggets?

Hi,
So my guinea pigs are on pets at home muesli (don’t tell me i shouldnt give them this and it’s bad because I know and that’s why I want to change them onto nuggets) but I want to give them nuggets so I‘m just wondering what are they best nuggets to use? I‘m asking here because a lot of sites are old from a few years ago so I’m wondering what are the best nuggets to give them now?

It may help you make a choice. Ultimately it’s going to come down to what your piggies will eat (and it may take some time to get them to eat them if they are used to having muesli) but you are ideally looking for a nugget which is grass/Timothy hay based. Being grain free can also of benefit (grains aren’t good for piggies).
Whichever one you choose, ensure you only feed one tablespoon per pig per day. Don’t let them have constant access to them (the same goes for the muesli you are currently feeding) as they are the least important part of the diet (pellets/muesli are the junk food of the piggy diet)

Thanks 😊 and yes I only give them two teaspoons a day of muesli. Also would you recommend science selective nuggets? And what do you think about burgess excel with mint?

I have used both burgess and science selective grain free. I have now moved away from both but (currently in the process of stopping feeding the ss grain free) both my piggies did like them
 
We use Burgess with mint for our girls and they love it! We also have Burgess blackcurrant and oregano which we currently use for the babies, they love it. The girls used to like that one too but then one day suddenly stopped eating it.

We‘ve now also got science selective as the girls are little divas and need a change every now and then :)) we haven’t tried it yet though!
 
I use science selective grain free. I think when I researched the burgess pellets they had a fair amount of alfalfa in which was under another name in the ingredients. Hope you find a pellet that you’re happy with!
