Sadly, Bilko passed away yesterday. He was gone when I got home last night. :'( :'(

I had a feeling his time was near, as he was an old chap and getting a bit doddery...but bless his little white paws he enjoyed the company of the 3 girlies he lived with right up to his last mins. Quite often he was cuddled up to one or a couple of them, or enjoying the attention they gave him. :smitten:

I found him in the corner with hay sticking out his mouth, so his passing was very quick and he must have still been munching when his time came. (dont know whether to smile or cry about that bit! :-\).

Bilko will be sadly missed, as he was one of a pair of himmies, that came to live with me November 2003.
They were my first two rescue pigs that I adopted after I lost my very first pig Oscar, and they helped to heal my broken heart. They came from Squeaky Pigs, Yorkshire.

RIP Bilko.....reunited with Princess, who passed away last October. :'( :'(.

I am going to miss my special guy.

Deb :'(

Oh Deb what a wonderful little man, he can pair up with Margalo at the Bridge and they can be in Chocolate Himi Heaven together :smitten: . I'm really sorry for your loss. :'(

I am so sorry to hear about Bilko :'(

Such a shock when they go so quickly like that but nice to know he was clearly enjoying life up to the end!

Rest in Peace Bilko! :-*

Have fun playing happily with Princess at the Bridge! :smitten:

So sorry to hear little Bilko has gone to the bridge Deb :'( :'( hugs to you and piggie kisses to his remaining harem :-* :-*
RIP little man Bilko :'( :'( runfree and i'm sure Princess will have welcomed you with open paws :-* :-*

He had a very happy, very fullfilled, long life, with a loving owner and his own little harem - his story is that of a very happy piggy.

I think its something to smile about rather than cry, Deb..

what nicer ending could there be, to go while you are munching away on your favourite food?

Shows that he was a true guinea pig - greedy and eating to his last second.

My thoughts are with you, I know how hard it is to let go of them when its their time.
But I am sure he is popcorning away on the bridge now, and continuing what he did on earth - munching. ;)

So sorry to hear this Deb, he sure was a handsome fella.

RIP Little Bilko. Have fun at the bridge with Princess. :-*

Rest in peace little man. He was adorable

so sorry to hear about Bilko Deb but I have a good feeling he is now reunited with princess and enjoying her company again sweet dreams gentle man 0:)

Debbie I'm so very sorry to hear about Darling Bilko. :'(

Run free at the bridge with Princess little man :'(

Thank you everyone for all your kind words.

Bilko is now buried near to where Princess was laid to rest, so hopefully they are now reunited in spirit.

I am very sad, thats he has passed on, but in my heart I know he had a good life and wanted for nothing, had his sweetheart Princess with him till she passed, and then his other ladies for the past 6 months. He was a contented piggie till the end. :)

Its a little easier when you know they have had a happy long life.

Deb x

So sad to hear that Bilko has passed it feels like loosing one of my own... Hope he is happy reunited with Princess and maybe even my Prince. Thinking of you, it must be a sad sad time.

So sorry to hear your very sad news Deb. :'( But as you said he wanted for nothing and had a wonderful life, what more could a piggy ask for. :)
Big (((((((( hugs))))))) to you Deb, thinking of you.
R.I.P Little one 0:)
