No, your guinea pig is not bipolar. How old is he? He sounds like a typical teenager.

Try to use guinea pig language to communicate with him and try to see things from his end; then you may have more of a chance at figuring out his behaviour. Is he an only guinea pig? How To Understand Guinea Pig Instincts And Speak Piggy Body Language

He's not bipolar, they just change what they're doing very quickly.

My pigs can go from sleeping to running at top speed in a blink of an eye, that's just how they are.

I was away last weekend and my partner told me that one of them went on a right mission. He was doot doot-ing around, went into a top speed run, started whinging and then had a rumble strut around his cagemate. All in about 20 seconds. He's 3 so they can still be mad at any age.

Please read up on our guides at the top of the behaviour and bonding section before you stage any introductions, especially as your little boy is now a teenager and pushing the boundaries as much as he can.
