This is a page deicated to one family member who just didn't quite make it too the world.
Biscuit fell pregaunt with this pup on september, (well when we found out) and was 4 weeks in.
The pup was smidge's son/daughter.
We found out biscuit was pregaunt when smidge turned out to be a he instead of a she ;D
We were told by the vet biscuit had fallen 4 weeks pregaunt, by november when she was going
past the date she was due, the vet annoucned it was a mistake. i was dazed.
Yet biscuit still got fatter. Only recently biscuit suffered with diharrea, and looked very tired
and ill. We were going to take her to the vets on monday. Today we looked into the hutch to
she a very slimmer biscuit playing happily in the hutch. A bit of excitement ran threw me,
'Has she given birth?' of course it was true, but my heart sank.
I seen remains of guinea pig. Obviosuly its back, because you could tell by the shape of the leg
they're was a dark brown organ there too. I think it was the liver. :( I picked up the baby (with tissue
because it's inside were showing and i did not want to touch the poor baby with my hands)
I gave biscuit a big cuddle, she seemed so much more healthier.
I put them in the run in the kitchen, too give them a bath. i went in the garage to get their food
and i looked in the hutch. i was still confused of how biscuit had such a horrid birth and a pregauncy
that lasted so long. i thought the baby must of died in the womb.
In the bedding, biscuit had obviosuly buried her remains of her child. Well, the other half. I lifted it with a bag.
The baby was huge, half a guinea pig, i felt ill and depressed at the sight. I could see the paws, the nose and head,
it like the piggies stomache and back legs had been torn form her/him.
After fluffly's babies sweep and sooty were born so small, i knew they're was something wrong.
On the forum i got advice and alot much comfort off other memebers (thankyou :) ) were i got told
biscuit's hormones to give birth did not work until it was too late.
it shocked me to know that this baby was growing inside of her, and living.
It was nearly the size of biscuit herself. its fur was a lovely grey, and its fur looked like biscuits.
Because the baby was so big, it must of been difficult in the labour for biscuit, and at
such a late pregauncy (over 1 year) her pelvic bones would have fussed and it must
of been torn into pieces just to the get the baby through.
biscuit is coping well, she used some of her milk to feed sweep today. and gave him/her a wash.
I just feel so sorry for the poor pup who grew up inside of her, yet never got to see the world.
When you think about it like that, it really makes you sad.  :'(

Picuture below is Biscuit in her Pregauncy 3 weeks ago.

biscuit is doing well, is alot more active. i had major bonding time with all of them, and she joined in with some games i played
