Ahhh summer where did it go. What a lovely reminder and great to see the set up for the Caravanning Cavies. They must have great times. They might not be able to see where they are but will certainly be able to take in all the smells. What a bit adventure for such little creatures. Thanks for sharing

Camping! Cool! I took my guinea pigs camping once when I was little. I insisted to mum and dad that I wouldn't go without them! ;):D I've been meaning to get one of those tents for aaaaaaages! :fog:

Hey! Where can I get a tent thing like that? It looks like it folds and zips up?
I could really use something like that when I go to visit my mum

They're lovely photos, and very lucky piggies. Reminds me of our camping trip when Roddy came along :-)

My two piggie babies first home after we bought them was to the Caravan Club site near Scarborough, and they have since been to Sandringham, Norfolk Broads, and back upto Filey as Caravanning Piggies!

They live out in the awning by day, and come inside to snuggle down in the bathroom overnight just incase there are any preditors such as foxes or badgers on the prowl whilst we are sleeping, they are quite comfortable with travelling, and we have been known to carry them around wrapped in a small towel if we needed to stop off somewhere on a day trip out rather than leave them unattended inside a hot car for an hour or so.

We must discuss our experiences and perhaps have a camping/caravan group within the forum.

Hi what's your fb page called as I would love to see more pics x

The biggest challenge is sneeking them into a hotel room for the night, we had fun and games doing this quite a few times with my daughters piggies, as we did not caravan back then, they often got smuggled in under someones coat, then spent the night in a plastic stack box, which we prepared at home for them, then carried into the hotel full of childrens toys, clever disguise for a piggies travel bed indeed! After aquiring our first caravan, not only did the piggies come along camping, but often a family of hampsters too, my record numbers were 5 piggies and mummy hampster and 9 babies!

Smuggling guineas into a hotel! Sounds like fun! Wish I could've seen it :lol!:

The trickiest problem is stifling any squeeks as you pass through the hotels reception! My daughters always majically developed bad coughs at this point, although at one place we stayed at they had to keep them all week, as we were allocated an appartment with balcony right over the hire company's Norfolk dayboat yard.
