I own 2 guinea pigs that are about a year old or maybe a bit more. They are in a cage in my room at the moment but I just don't feel like they are having the best life. They barely get out as I have a dog. They used to go out the back garden but my dog got out and tried to maul them. I am thinking about re-homing them but just wondered how this works as one of my guinea pigs has a head tilt. She was treated it for it and told that it was just something that would stay with her but wouldn't affect her. Any advice would be great. Thanks ! X

Hello!

I also have a dog (a young husky mix puppy, who has a high prey drive) and 4 Guinea pigs. If you do not want to rehome them, you could close your door and spend time with them in your room without your dog. I always try not to rehome animals unless I have too. Good luck figuring things out!

Yes l agree, you can get a secure run and keep your dog in the house for a couple of hours? And let them have floor time in the house when your dog is shut in another room. Its all about being consistent and giving the piggies a regular exercise time but at the same time keeping them safe.
