I would expect so as it is one of their methods to escape your grasp - they are prey animals and if they are not tame then they are likely to think you want to eat them
 
Yes, some guinea pigs do; especially, if they have not been handled much.

There is the odd biter/nibbler by nature as well (I had a lady who liked to express her feelings that way and it took me along time to get her off it).
