my guinea pig is starting to have black poop that doesnt look normal! its bigger then it usually is and a bit longer, what might be the reason?

that's unusual. long poop that looks like a sausage garland when a couple or more are joint together means constipation, but black - no idea... anybody?
in humans black poop if it isn't from excess food of dark colour (blackberries or similar) it can mean intestinal bleeding as blood is almost black in colour when it gets in touch with air

I have noticed that guinea pigs who are not used to veggies, then start being given them can have considerably darker poops due to the increased iron. The size is not really a problem provided they are single and normally formed. As PP has said though, blood in poop could make it darker too, so if you are concerned it would be worth a visit to the vet. xx
