Hi everyone, my eldest pig who lives on his own as he don't get on with any of my other pigs has been developing these black spots (kinda look like moles) for about a month now. He's perfectly healthy, he eats, drinks and poops fine. He doesn't have any known health issues either. He's an Abyssinian and the spots seem to pop up in the centre or near centre of the back rosettes ( none on his front half). He's also well groomed, with a bath and a good groom every so often he is very spoilt.

I was wondering if anyone knew what they could be and if they're dangerous or something for me to be concerned about.
Thanks!

Hi! It looks like rather like places where a larger flake of the top skin could have come off to me. It may be worth having your guinea pig checked for potential fungal or (if that is not the case) for dry skin - however, that is something that only a vet can do. We can only guess from your pictures, but not diagnose.
