Junior Guinea Pig
My guinea pig is having an operation this afternoon to remove a bladder stone. If it's all gone well she'll be coming home this evening as the vet does not do overnight care. I am concerned about putting her back in the cage with her companion in case she gets knocked And I'm also concerned that she might scratch the wound. The vet didn't seem to have much advice when I asked earlier.
Any advice gratefully received. I just want to make sure I look after her as best I can. The vets seem to think she needed to be by my other guinea pig but not in contact with her and I'm not sure how to arrange this logistically. I wondered about putting up their indoor run for them both so there's space to put her carrying cage in. That way she can see the other guinea pig but not be in danger of being knocked by her.
