Is he blind in one eye or both, they don't have great eye sight anyway, so they manage fine without. They know gaps with their whiskers, and their sense of smell and hearing is brilliant
Merab, the piggy in my avatar had cataracts for the last few years of her life.
I tended to put food right under her nose sometimes but on the whole she managed well.
She could still get herself in and out the cage for free roaming time.
She was a bit more cautious but her blindness didn’t hamper her at all.
Piggies are not dependent on eyesight as they have an excellent sense of smell.
One of my pigs developed cataracts later in life... I really didn't need to do much differently. She got around pretty well on her own. We could really only tell that she was blind because you could see the cataracts and she would occasionally misjudge distances. Pigs rely more on smell than eyesight and typically adjust pretty well.
The Ever Beautiful Betsy is blind. It took her a while to adjust to her failing eyesight as her cataracts slowly got worse a couple of years ago but now you really wouldn't know she can't see. She sometimes gets very distressed at being picked up and I talk to her the whole time and stroke her beneath her left eye (NEVER the right) and give her chin runs as she loves that. She can also be a bit nippy but that's understandable as she doesn't know what's going on.
