When I first got my boys, I bought them a hay house from Pets at Home which they love to hide in. After reading more info on here, I bought a second one to prevent arguments. However, I keep seeing such lovely pictures of everyone's piggies cuddled up in beautiful cosies and things I decided to fork out and spoil my boys with some lovely soft fleecey things of their own.
However, they've pretty much turned their noses up at them! The little cosy bed is just walked across til its flattened and its pretty much the same for the cosy sleeping bags I got. In fact, they pushed one into a corner and used it as a toilet! It was totally soaked through by the morning! Blinking typical that I spent all that money and they prefer the cardboard I put in at playtime! One of the hay houses only has two walls left intact but they still rather that than the cosies. Has anyone else experienced this? All the pics I see seem to have piggies all cuddled up in them. Also, my boys never seem 'chilled' I've yet to see them stretched out having a lie down. Is this just an age thing because they're still young and full of energy?
 
I've had sexy just turn his nose up at things and wee on them too! I suppose they are just like us in the way that were all different and all like different things...however its bloomin annoying when you have bought them stuff as they arent cheap! :)) sorry they did'nt take to them! We spoil them too much:))
 
Wingus loves his fleecy cosy and stretches out in it, Stewie tramples, Ps & Poos in his so I end up with one clean and one looking like a school boys bedroom (apologies to all the school boys who don't P & Poo in their bedroom). I don't think Stewie dare venture into big bros boudoir!
 
Haha, I recently bought mine a cuddly bed. They haven't really used it themselves yet, although I did catch Lexi this morning using it as a pillow mallethead. She was lying on the plastic hayloft with her head on the bed...was quite cute really :)).
 
I have just put a cosy hoody fleecy thing in with mine, bought it this morning. Gimmick likes sitting in it, but Gadget wants to destroy it. Little moo.

I hope they use it to sleep though! Fingers crossed!

Haha! They just sound like my boys, typical lads i guess! :)) Harvey and Artie love their cuddle cup to sleep in, as well as a toy to drag around the cage, hide under, store their veggies in (?) and popcorn on it too, but i've found these days they've shuned their lovely cozy bedroom, with cuddle cups blankets and fleeces and opted for the under the stairs on top of the hay box bed hehe!
 
they are all spoilt brats if you ask me lol

maybe try again in winter, they may not turn their noses up at them so much then eh?!

I will never understand why the pee on everything, nothing worse than sleeping in a wet bed lol
