Blod: Mummy, it is cold here now, make it warm or I will look sad and tell everyone I am neglected.
Me: we did have the oil filled radiator on for 3 hours this morning Blod, and then the central heating on for half an hour- now it is nap time! Can you go in a fleecy pigloo? I changed the pee pad!
Blod: No dont want to, I will sit here looking sad.
Me: You can go sit on a snugglesafe? There is one in a cuddle couch, and one in the castle house with Theo?
Blod: No thanks, I like to sit here but need to be warmer.
Me: the sun is shining on the other end of the cage, maybe you could...?
Blod: No thanks, I will just stay here looking disappointed.
Me: Shall I switch the radiators back on Blod, because I can't endure the betrayed look in your little pink eyes?
Blod: I suppose that may be acceptable, but I am still going to look sad.
Me: I'm sorry Blodwen, I am a bad mummy, I will put all the heaters back on so you won't get cold and can sit where you want.
Switch radiator on and leave room- 15 mins later Blod goes to sit as far away from it as she can!

Cheeky girl! I’ve had times where one of two piggie water bottles were empty and they were furiously shaking them at me while the other is full, only to drink from the other one when I’ve filled up the empty one :mal:

I am spending £5 per day during this cold spell just on the gas and electric needed to keep a gang of diva rodents warm- I hoped we might have the heating off between 10am and 4pm when its sunny and they have all those fleecy beds and snugglesafes but... Blod says no. I always listen to Blod :)

I felt this, lol. In order to heat the house without overheating the house the heating goes on for...some time...at 15C. Turn it up, too easy to overdo AND too easy to underdo and nobody wants to be running up and down the stairs every half hour to switch it off or on. Turn it lower than 15 and I swear the water storage heater AND every single pipe in the house starts screaming. Like if pipes could scream, that's the noise they'd make.

Say what I will about my old neighbours, but they were great in the winter because I could switch my heating off and I'd still get the extra heat from every other flat to even things out.

Oh Blod - I love how you’ve headed over to be near the radiator and then had to sit there looking at it hopefully before the big slave gave in and turned it back on again. Thank goodness she didn’t get you shaved!

I’ve turned our heating off as I can pull on another layer. The sun is steaming into the piggy room and it’s lovely and warm in there. In fact I might go and join the piggies as it’s probably the warmest room in the house at this moment. They get the best of everything!

We leave the thermostat on 16. The sun keeps the house warm during the day but it's about to go off us soon so the heating will come on until I start cooking. There are some benefits to living in a tiny house after all.
When my partners home he puts the thermostat up and tells me my guinea pigs are cold!

Of course you always listen to Blod she The Queen after all!
