A few weeks ago Greta lost her cage mate so a week after the loss I took her to the rescue to be paired with a new friend, Ivy. They've been getting on fine and of course there has been some bickering but they seem okay with eachother. Unfortunately this morning I found some blood on their cage and some little red bits of woodshaving. Ive checked them both over and I cant find anything, no marks and no blood on Gretas white fur. Perhaps the domination behaviour and attempts of mounting eachother has resulted in injury? Or maybe they need to be separated? They realy dont seem to be fighting....

:)p

Have you checked their bits?
Maybe one has a little blood in their urine.

Strange that there are no signs of injury on either piggy.

Aww no! Yeah would be inclined to think does one have a water infection if there is nothing on them. can you monuitor their urine, maybe put them on a towel see what happens from there? Hope they are ok. x

Bits checked...no blood. The new little Ivy pig is black though so it quite hard to see. I'll put a towel down on the run floor and give them some cucumber, that'll make me wee and ill soon see if theres any blood. I'll see how they are in the next few days and keep an eye on their shinanigans.

Oh no!I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it's not bladder issues AGAIN, as there is no other injury.

All the best to Greta and Laurel Ivy!
