Hi all

I'm a very new piggie owner (and had lots of worries about how my two little boys are getting on) but I wondered if anyone could give advice...

We've just taken our boys out of their cage for lap time and noticed the hay in their cage has lots of patches covered in what appears to be blood (it's bright red and liquidy). We have checked over the boys and neither have any bites or scratches (my first worry as they've been fighting) so what else could it be?
Could it be from inside their mouths? Urine? Please help!

Hi and welcome!

Please have them checked by a vet for a urinary tract infection tomorrow.

I agree with Wiebke that they need to see a vet. It sounds like a urinary tract infection or a stone. Please let us know how you get on at the vets.
