I got my girls last night, this morning i put in some cauliflower leaves and asparagus for a little snack along with more fresh hay and pellets.
I found a piece of asparagus that had been nibbled and it had blood on it?! Any idea why? The two babies are 6 weeks old and i have a 1 year old too, are the baby girls gums soft? Is this normal? i don't really want to try and grab them to check their mouths yet they are so frightened still.

Aw, if it's definitely not pinkish wee, sounds like one has nicked their gum :(
I would watch like a hawk if you can't physically see anything and if one is not eating as well, would suspect they are in pain :(
A Vet can give you pain relief and you can offer mashed pellets to help.
Keep us posted...hugs x

Thanks... I put in some pellets with a little bit of water so they were soft and put them near where they are all hiding. I have now seen all three of them eat from the bowl which is good. Its nearly time for their dinner veggies, i will watch and try and see who eats. But they don't come out if i am watching!

I also saw Ursula looking like she tried to nip Kiara and she ran off. And often i hear high pitched squeaks and Ursula comes running out of the box and Bubsy is sitting in there, maybe she pushes her out. But as soon i as she sees me coming she runs back in to where Bubsy is. I know they have to sort things out and who is the boss and things so i hope they will be ok.

do they have seperate places to hide so there is no competition and they can get away from each other There should be one hidey per guinea pig
