Bloodshed - Fight or Accident?

When going to turn out the boys' light tonight, I spotted two patches of blood on their fleece. It looked to be about a teaspoonful.

I checked Darwin over and he was bleeding at the top of his ear (where it joins his head) and had dried blood on his nose. Unsure if his nose was cut - he kept trying to eat the cotton bud I was cleaning him up with.

We have separated the boys in case they have been fighting, but my OH thinks it may have happened when Gus tried to mount Darwin's head - he does this a lot, and can have scratchy nails.

Opinions and advice welcome, thanks for reading.

What do the wounds look like? It might give you more of an idea if its a bite wound or just a accidental scratch?

He won't let me get a close look - and I didn't want to start pulling his hair and ear about incase I hurt him more.

Managed to get a good look at Darwin's wound - it's scabbing over and is a small line on the very edge where his ear joins his head. I've no idea if this looks like a bite or a scratch.

I just took Darwin to see Gus through the C&C cage and neither seemed the slightest bit interested in the other.

Going to do proper re-intro tonight... We'll see how it goes!

Well, alls well that ends well, it seems.

They met up again without a peep and Gus seemed happy to have his friend back. They spent all night together without a problem and are now chilling in a pigloo each.

Still no explanations of the blood or the cut, but it seems to have been an accident after all.
