This is one of my guinea pigs, bisuit. Her behavior is normal nothing different from her usual anxious personality. Just recently i was giving her a bath and I felt something unusual. I’ve called pet clinics, animal hotlines, and guinea pig care websites. I can’t find anything similar to what my biscuit is developing, Anyone have a clue?

No idea. I’d just take her to the vet to be checked out. Is that on her grease gland? Sorry can’t really tell from the photo.

That looks quite sore and painful. A vet visit is advised. Piggies hide symptoms well as they are prey animals.

Please take her to see a vet. Guinea pigs mask pain quite well, but that must be sore and anywhere there is broken skin exposes a piggy to risk of infection. This does need veterinary attention and home treatment will not suffice.

Hi!

Please see a vet. It looks like a cyst or tumour that has burst and may likely require operative removal. But as it is sitting in the general area of the grease gland, it could be an infection or problem with it. Only a vet can tell and tell you what measures should best be taken.
What you can see, is the sheer flesh

My then nearly 7 years old Hafren needed operative removal of her burst sebacious cyst last summer. Thankfully concerns over a potential tumour because of the heavy bleeding from the cyst (which had a more unusal fleshy bit and a thick fleshy mantle) did not materialise. She recovered well and lived for several months longer until dying from old age.

You can see the burst cyst on Hafren's bum in this picture, Of course it happened as soon as my specialist vet had gone on summer holiday and I had to tidy her over with the help of my local general vets until his return.
The cyst had been monitored regularly since the spring because of Hafren's age but unfortunately continued to grow quite quickly so in the end an operation became inevitable.

I hope that that helps you?
