Boar Lost Companion, Options?

I've just lost one of my boys and wanting to do the best for the remaining pig.
He is very dominant and constantly harassed his mate so I'm worried he would do the same to a new companion.
Do I neuter him and get a girlfriend instead of another boy?
Leave him alone( I have other pigs he can see and hear)?
Get another boar?

If you can get to a good rescue that offers dating under expert supervision, that would be the best way forward. The experienced rescue people can introduce your boy to potential mates and assess his behaviour. If finding a male companion proves to be unsuccessful, they can then help you best with their experience to make any further decisions based on his bonding performance and also on the availability of a good and experienced guinea pig neutering vet, which makes all the difference in that respect.

It all depends on the piggy itself, your rescue access and access to a good vet. For us it is rather impossible to say without meeting your boy. A lot depends also on your local options, especially whether you have the luxury of getting to a rescue to "test drive" your boy before committing to a new companion.
