For the last two or so weeks my little guy has been separated from the rest of the sows in the group until he is old enough to get neutered.

Since he reached 4 weeks he has not stopped rumble strutting, is this normal for an unneutered boar around sows or is it a cause for concern?

It is normal for any boar, neutered or not. ;)

Sorry if it's another stupid question, I've never kept boys before since I'm too scared of not providing enough space or dealing with impaction badly. But is it also normal for him to puff up when he does this?

Boars measure up against other by rumblestrutting (I call this a 'boar haka') - he who is largest and has the most sonorous rumble wins.
And who wouldn't want to look a little bit more inpressive?

They also use the rumblestrutting to display to sows to make them want to associate and mate with them. Keep in mind, it is the sows that choose a boar, not the other way around!

Here is a 'boar haka' of a fallen-out boar pair that stayed overnight with me en route from the South Coast to the Potteries Guinea Pig Rescue.

And here is a video from a newly married Gethin happily rumbling, popcorning and zooming away.
'Popcorning' and 'zooming' - joy and exuberance (videos)

All my girls seem pretty interested in him, they find ways of breaking in sometimes that would never even cross my mind. I have to put the girls in first whenever I clean the cage now so I can watch them trying to break in and fix any weird openings they find

Rumblestrutting is the boars saying to the sows "look at me I am very handsome and why wouldn't you fancy me? I'm the best!"

Surprising people get sows and boars mixed up when there's a difference like that between them

A sow in season can give even the rumbliest boar a run for his money. I remember the first time one of my original pair of sows had a strong season. I went into panic mode and had to check her lady parts again to double check I definitely didn't have a male. Especially when she was humping her cage mate!

Are you able to house him somewhere else, or on a table above him? That sounds risky! If they can get to him then he can also (potentially) get to them.

I've cable tied everything down so it should be safe, I don't want to move him too far away in case he doesn't get accepted back into the group

Yes our boss lady big pig Clover has a rumblestrut that is way more macho than either of my boars, and she does a lot more humping too!
