Junior Guinea Pig
Reposting it because i posted it in the wrong section.
SORRY FOR THE LONG ESSAY IN ADVANCE LOL
As some of you guys know I'm kind of new at keeping guinea pigs, i originally bought a boy and he was fine but i started reading and researching and found out that having one guinea pig alone is not good, so i went out and bought another boy and they were totally fine for months.
Recently a friend was getting rid of her guinea pigs and she had only one left and it was a girl so i took her in and have her in a separate cage, my friend told me she thinks the girl is pregnant because she had her together with a boy and her belly has been growing a lot since i got her so I'm sure she is pregnant.
My boys have been very sweet and great to each other until..... i brought the girl home, I'm guessing they could smell her and all hell broke lose! They started fighting like crazy non stopped we got home and found blood in the cage, not a lot but it was blood! so you guys can imagine that our hearts dropped. Lucas had a little scratch on his nose and we are guessing the blood came from there. We checked them and there were no wounds or anything. So we had to separate the boys.
Recently we tried to put them back together again and they started chasing each other around for a little bit, hair went up, teeth started making a funny/weird noise and at first we were like ok maybe they are just trying to stablished who is the boss and once one of them give in they will be fine, but nop! our boys are very stubborn and none of them was giving up. Elvis grabbed a chunk of Lucas's hair from his back and we had to separate them again because we were afraid they were going to hurt each other.
I dont know wha to do because i dont want to have to keep them both alone
Any recommendations on what to do!? we dont want to have to get rid of any of them we love our boys.
