Hey, I noticed a really large bit of boat glue behind one of my boars legs. It was so big I felt it was safer to try cut it off than allow it to come away naturally (if it even can do that). My poor little guy is so timid and quiet but he let me know that he didn’t like what I was doing. I gave him lots of kale and reassurance to ease him and finally got it off. It has left a sore looking bit behind (pic below). Not bleeding but clearly raw! He lay cuddled into me for a long time after and since putting him back he has went straight to lie down. Is this normal after such a traumatic event for him? My worry is his poor little heart or he’s really in pain?
Vet appointment is due for a check up soon so can discuss but just wanting reassurance/guidance in the mean time if possible, thank you :)B8488136-82AB-4205-ABAF-7E38FC225545.webp

Where abouts is this on him? Tummy or back? When I zoom in on the photo it looks like his nipple to me

It’s inbetween his grease gland and left hind leg. I was concerned it was hurting him to walk and thought best to get it off but now I feel really bad for him.

Was it definitely boar glue and not pus? It does look sore but if it was boar glue and hasn't damaged the skin I would just keep a close eye on him and watch how it goes over the next couple of days

Definitely rock solid like boar glue, my other boar was in a bit of a ‘rampage’ last week and I think this has been the end result. He’s had one before that I had to cut off from under his chin but his one has left sore/red skin behind :(

Bless him and his rampant cage mate

It's better news that it's boar glue though. As long as it calms down he should be fine
