Is it normal for piggies to have small bold areas right behind their ears? ta!

hiya, yeah it is don't worry, unless the patch gets bigger or the skin looks sore it's perfectly normal x

Yes it is. Guinea pigs regulate the body temperature with the blood flow through the ears, so the ears need to be clear and not swathed in fur. Only worry if the patches are not symmetrical or suddenly get larger and sore.

As long as they're not scratching the patches, or if they seem irritated, then it's okay (: As said already, completely normal!

Yes, they all have them- it's normal. It's easier to see on some piggies, depending on how their fur lays.

Yes, perfectly normal to have a bald patch behind each ear.

However, always be aware that this skin could be smooth, clean and without sores ... if not please consult a vet.

I love giving my piggies a kiss behind their ears as it is always warm!

Didn't know this either when I first got my piggies:red
Good luck with your new piggies, hope you enjoy them
