Ive tried bonding a boar with a group of sows which didn't work.
This morning I've tried again with a lone sow. Everything seemed to be going well then the 2 of them started to circle it other with no gap between them. Then very loud chatting started, then a full blown fight, although there was no blood they were ripping fur out of each other. So we separated & put the sow back with her friends, & she did nothing but cry & squeal. She's definitely got no wounds, so it must of been fear. I have read the bonding forum but of it is not applying to them, unless I've missed something. I assume my options are take him dating with a sow, or leave him in his end of the C&C where he can see & interact with the others. I just feel sorry for him that he's all alone. :hb:

Sorry @Tiamolly123 only just noticed your post. I've missed a bit of the story. How old are the sows and how many are the sows and how old is the boar?
Why did the group bonding fail? Did all the sows reject him?
Sow/boar bondings can be just as tricky as other bondings. If he is newly neutered and unused to living with sows he will not have an "off switch" and will be a sex pest making binding more tricky if the girls aren't used to it.
With sow/boar bonding you can separate and reintroduce when things have calmed down again, however if he has had a big fight with one sow that sow is unlikely to accept him ever again. My Violet tore chunks from Mr Ted (and he reciprocated) in a vicious fight. Despite further attempts they refused to accept each other and I had to find Ted another sow to bond with.
I'd be tempted to keep him at one end of the cage and keep mixing their bedding. Let them interact through the bars, get used to each other's scent and then try again in a day or so. Mr Ted had 2 failed introductions with Fudge and Toffee before they settled as a trio. I did exactly what I have suggested above. Eventually Mrs Fudge moved her bed against the bars and slept side by side with him (with the divider in place) before I put them all together for the final time.
Don't lose heart.

Thanks, tried him 3 sows yesterday, & he only had to breath & this sow kept going for him.
Gismo lays by a divider with pickles on the other side, so I tried to bond them, but today was worse than yesterday. I have 3 sows & a neutered boar. If nothing works out will he be okay by himself at 1 end of the cage. I feel so guilty him being by alone.

If you can't bond the group, could he live with one of the sows, and then you have 2 pairs?
I also have 1 boar and 3 sows, and have ended up with a boar-sow pair, and 2 sows living together (despite this not being how I imagined it).
Sadly for us Ruby (dominant sow - super grumpy) took a dislike to Eddi (the most laid back boar who ever lived) and once she made her mind up, there was no way they were going to be able to live together.
We did try to rebond them on multiple occasions over several weeks.
Eddi actually got on well with my other 2 sows, and they would have worked well as a group of 3, but there is only one other pig that Ruby has ever fully accepted, and I was worried if I put her in a threesome with Eddi I would never find another friend for Ruby (if that makes sense).
So they ended up as 2 pairs, and I have to say it does work well.

Good luck with it all - I constantly marvel at the complexity of these little souls.

Thats what I tried today with the sow he lays next to with a grid between them. No luck. I think if I separate one of the others from the herd it will ruin your year 3 of my sows are you
