Hi,
After we lost our baby guinea last week we have had to get our other baby male a friend because his character just deteriorated, not eating, playing and just wanting to be with us. As much as its been a horrible time our piggy has started to trust us ridiculous amounts to the point he "shouts" us to go get him from his cage for him to just lay on us and cuddle.

We adopted a piggy, male 14 weeks (ours is about 20 weeks) and they are doing nothing but mount each other and chase each other. Is this normal? Is it normal to be scared about a fight breaking out? Though I don't think they would they seem to get on really well. I'm a first time piggy owner and a bit unsure what to do because so many people have different thoughts. Thanks in advance

Hi and welcome!

Yes, that is normal boar behaviour, especially for the dominance phase.
Please take the time to read this very detailed guide; it talks you through all the social behaviours and dynamics of the whole bonding process, which is actually lasting several weeks, and does not only cover the introduction.
Illustrated Bonding / Dominance Behaviours And Dynamics

Your older boy is now a teenager and your new boy is just on the cusp of his own testicles starting to descend, so things are bound to be more lively than with two sub-hormonal babies desperate for company.
This guide also contains information on the different phases of the teenage months and what you can do to help keeping the bond as stable as possible when things get tricky. You may find it helpful in the coming months. an age gap is usually better than having two boys experiencing the same spikes together; usually the greater the better.
Please don't be put off by the title! You are not reporting any behaviours that are pointing towards a personality clash, so they have a good chance of making it together. A good part of the guide is actually about keeping a bond viable. ;)
