I've had my guinea pigs (2 boars) since late September 2017. They still are scared around me. When I want to pick them up, they run away from me. I can't cut their nails or bathe them without them freaking out. They flinch when I try to pet them and one of them, Apollo, gets really scared and his eyes get wide. What can I do to get them to trust me?

Food.
Food as a bribe and when you have them in your lap give them a piece of heir favourite veg or fruit. Do it regularly like every day and talk to them calmly.
They are naturally very scared and it can take sometimes some real perseverance.

And try picking them up in a fleece tunnel or sack . They find this less threatening than hands. Spend time holding them and tempting them with tasty food.
Time and patience are the answer

Thanks for the tips!

Also if you use a nice fleece that they can sit on and have a bit of cover of them too so they get used to being out of their house and then sneak a hand underneath to stroke them. Pigs like to feel super safe and hidden under things. They may flinch st first but will get used to it.
