hi all so i am wondering how long should i wait a new born guinea pig ? om sunday march 18 2018 my new guinea pig that was told was a male when i got her 2 months ago by her old owner so i housed him with my other male guinea and now we have 2 new babies named mufasa and wacko . i was told to wait 21 days to begin bonding .. sorry if this was a stupid question the black white piggie is wacko ( from animanics ) the other one is mufasa ( from the lion king )

Hi! A baby boars need to stay with their mums until they are about 3 weeks old; they basically become sexually active as soon as they are weaned.

Here are our more detailed separation and bonding tips; please take the time to read them carefully as you will find them very helpful.

Give your old boar a day to be come used to the baby through a tightly meshed divider overnight, so acceptance is better guaranteed. Not all boars click with all babies. Make sure that you double check the sex of both piggies before you start the introduction!
