Junior Guinea Pig
Hello, I realize I have been inactive for a long time, and the forum is looking very different then when I was here last, I would love to look around the forum and catch up on everybody's pigs, but right now I need some advice...
So my little Pumkin passed away a few weeks ago from old age, and since then Boo has been living by herself. She has seemed fine, eating, and drinking like normal, and being her loud and friendly self. But over a couple of days, she has seemed kind of dull. Her eyes have some goo around them and she seems to be loosing weight. Just a few minutes ago I was working on something when she started to scream. I thought something had fallen on her or she had gotten hurt, and went rushing over. She was lying on her side screeching. I picked her up, and now she seems alright. She is eating some lettuce, but she is very jittery. I would love to take her to the vet, but in past experiences i've token a pig in and all they have done is given some antibiotics and charged us $100, saying that guinea pigs are small animals and there isn't much to do. Has anything similar happened to someones pig? Could it have been a seizure? Thank you so much
