What do you do to clean your guinea pig's drinking bottles? Each night I Wash them with hot water...boiling. And of course wait for it to not be so hot so that it will hurt the guineas. What about you?

Nothing..I just rinse them out daily with cold water while I refill them

i rinse them daily and once a month disinfect them and wash them LOADS afterwards. :)

I wash mine out once a day and sterilise them with baby bottle sterilising fluid once a week . :)

Baby bottle sterilizing tablets? They are not harmful to the pigs? Where can you buy that?

I just give them a wash every day when I refill them. Normal hot water, washing up liquid etc and a good rinse afterwards same as for all the bowls.

Boiling water doesn't do the plastic a lot of good. An ex of mine was trying to be helpful when I had the ratties and decided to pour boiling kettle water over their water bottles to sterilise them. They went a funny shape! ;D

Any chemist or supermarket. Follow the instructions on the packet.
