Junior Guinea Pig
We lost Bourbon this morning, our girl in charge and the pig with the biggest personality.
I only had six or so weeks with her, but she made her mark for sure. Wheeking at the top of her voice ready to greet anyone who came to see her, and always with a lick of approval. She would follow me around the cage while cleaning, and loved nothing more than a tickle. For a pig who had a tough life and had only been with me a short time, she was outrageously confident and trusting.
I wish we had more time together, but unfortunately her previous life caught up to her. I’m glad knowing her last chapter was one of peace and happiness with her sisters.
This afternoon the pig room is far too quiet and the girls are definitely grieving, but the cage is full of rainbows for Bourbon

Photo of Bourbon (brown) and two out of three herd members this afternoon (Jaffa and Oreo).
