Hello,
While scrolling on Instagram recently I saw piggies eatiing live grass that was in a box. I asked the person who posted where they got it but never heard back. I love the idea of fresh grass for my piggies as we live in an apartment and the lawn we have is almost 80 percent weeds and I don't know if any of the weeds are dangerous so I keep the piggies out of the grass. On Amazon I saw a box 'bunny lawn' and it says good for guinea pigs too. It is rather small and costs 15 bucks. I was wondering of any place I can get more grass for less money.
Thank you!

We did this in the summer as we only have a small patio garden no lawn, I just bought some "pet and child safe" grass seed and also some clover seed and planted it in plastic window box style planters (about 15 inches long and 4 or 5 inches high so the piggies can reach in or jump up) and then brought it inside and let them destroy it! They did tend to uproot everything but it was quick and cheap to do and regrew every 2 or 3 weeks over the summer :)

I agree , try some straight forward grass seed OR, look into getting some oat to sprout.

If you look at kits like these , they use grain rather than grass seed .
