These were taken a few weeks ago at the donkey sanctuary I volunteer at, when Sky (brown) and Paphos (grey) weren’t allowed out with the others, mainly because Sky had pretty bad laminitis. I usually get to the sanctuary around 8 AM, and help to get the donkeys out. On this occasion, I was sheparding them out, when a largish brown donkey comes storming up and stops right in front of me, demanding shoulder scratches.

It’s as I’m scratching him that I realise it’s...Sky. Who isn’t allowed out. And how, exactly, did he get out of the makeshift pen anyway? See photo evidence underneath.

Yeah, they’d broken the fence. What I found amusing about the whole situation is that it wasn’t Paphos, who didn’t have laminitis, but Sky (who did have sore feet) who decided to hop over and stage an escape!
