We are not conventional here!
We all know that bonding more than two boars fails 95% of the time…. Yet here we have a very happy (rare) trio
. The two older boys (Thor and Rufus) are living very happily with baby Merlin (who wanted to show off his popcorning on this video). It just proves that everything comes down to character compatibility. Rufus and Merlin are very submissive characters and Thor is a fair (non-aggressive) leader. With Thor happily in charge, the boys are getting along famously.
Of course we have plan B just in case, but these boys won’t be separated now, they think they are the three musketeers!
After Rufus lost Bobby we trialled him alongside Thor and Merlin (not Jacob & Boris as Boris is quite a dominant character). They were neighbours for a while and then the pair accepted Rufus straight away. Let him walk in and join them liked they had always been a three. There’s been not one bit of teeth chattering or arguing over the last week since they let Rufus in. Thor occasionally rumbles his way around to remind the others that he’s boss. But everyone is very happy indeed. Everyone sits and eats together and go their separate ways at sleep time. No one doesn’t get a fair share of food and there are multiple hay and water sources
I’ve obviously never had a trio, this is a first
