Oh, Bramble. Sadly, I’ve lost my final member of the “Smudge, Holly and Bramble” trio. Bramble was at close to the big ten years old, and she kept her character all the way to the end.

I’ve been preparing for this for the last couple of months, but it never gets any easier, no matter how many times you go through this. Bramble has always been a cheeky character, screaming for food despite the big pile of veg in front of her! Always coming running over when I approach for a chin and nose rub and an extra treat, and of course I gave them to you - you deserved it! Especially as you got older, it was always a pleasure. I loved rubbing your chin, and behind your ears was your favourite spot.

I hope you’re reunited with Smudge and Holly now, eating all the nibblots and blueberries your little heart desires. Cause trouble! And make sure to eat some healthier greens sometime, okay? Don’t worry about me. Panda, Kuro, Oreo and your big feline sister Morgana will look after me!

I’ll miss you lots, little wheeker. Until we meet again
