Hello everyone. I have a question. My male piggy Snowy, pees clear then within a while the pee turns brown. Is this normal ?

Hi! Oxidisation is a normal process when pee comes into contact with air and nothing to worry about. Pee patches tend to dry a rusty colour on any white surface for the same reason. Any orangey/rusty colour means normal pee.

One more question, this only happens with Snowy, his buddy Maverick doesn't have this, neither do my other two girls, their pee in their cages stays clear. Any reason why Snowy's goes through oxidation and not the other's? Maybe his chemical composition is different?

It is more to do with the presence of bacteria in the bladder and also his water intake, which can differ enormously from piggy to piggy. the good news is that bad drinkers at not a higher risk of kidney problems than big drinkers.
