Unfortunately sometimes we get piggies into Rescue in appalling condition. This is just one example of how he came in and how he is now. This piggy came in on 14th February - and the updated pictures were taken today 27th February.

Most of you are familiar with this piggy through the Becklen - Shocking Intake thread in Guinea Pig Welfare section. Just thought I would before and after him to show his amazing recovery.

We are hopeful this chap and his friend Hamish have a new home waiting for them and just await confirmation of this.

Wow indeed! What a difference. You have done an incredible job with the wee man :)

Bless him. I'm so glad to see he's looking better and is doing okay.
I haven't been able to get that first image out of my mind, since I first saw this chap in your other thread.

I'm so very glad to see that he's recovering.
You're doing such a wonderful job, you must be so happy :)

But can I ask...What on earth caused such horrific wounds?

Wow that is such a different, it goes to show that love, care and treatment was all that was needed. Glad to see that he is getting much better.

I hope that he finds a loving home forever. :)

when i saw the first pic on the other thread i couldnt get the image out of my mind, it was so awful, its nice to see hes getting better and I'm so glad hes in the right place now, i dont know how long piggies can last in such a bad condition and the pain must have been just awful for him.

Your care is certainly making all the difference! I hope very much that that new home can get the go ahead!

I still feel ill when seeing those pics of the dear little man 8...:)>>>

OMG tho hasn't it healed up so quickly, awwwwww it's all the loving TLC he's getting xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
well done love xx>>>xx>>>xx>>>

This little man had me very worried yesterday and reaching for advice from Graham and Becky. He seems to have lost motivation and/or power in his back legs. It was terrible. It was teatime. He had had lots of veg as every during his stay here with me and his wounds are healing so very well.

I was up 4 times through the night and today he is a whole lot better so I have no clue what that could be - but anyhow he is still with us and seems to be walking now as opposed to dragging. Will keep you all updated.

His left side wound is now healed completely and the right side is getting much better.

Wow he looks brilliant now. Helen you are doing a great job with these fab piggies. I hope they all find forever once they are ready for them x

That's an amazing improvement, you've done a superb job with him there Helen.

Hope buddy is still better and no more dragging.

He looks brilliant - well done to everyone involved. His pictures were so heartbreaking.

I saw buddy last night and he was looking very comfortable and contented. He has healed up amazingly well and only had a tiny sore left on the right hand side. He has survived his ordeal amazingly well thanks to Hels hard work.
