Took my three boys to the vets yesterday for a check up, and one of them has the beginnings of bumblefoot on one of his feet. The vet recommended soaking it in a very mild solution of TCP or similar disinfectant. Can anyone recommend any home-grown solutions they have used successfully?

I have found that Daktacort applied morning and night along with the massaging in of the cream has been effective.

I would recommend that you follow your vet's advice. If the infection is not going down or getting worse, please see your vet again; promptly in the latter case as your guinea pig may need an antibiotic.

Yes, I'm going to keep a close eye on it and head back to the vets if it shows signs of getting worse.
