I don't think it matters. Mine love Harringtons & I was sure it was cheaper than Burgess but maybe the price has gone up? The Harringtons pellets are much smaller I think. I have a bag of Blackcurrant & Oregano pellets to try mine on but I am waiting to finish the Harringtons first rolleyes
I feed a mix of both; I have found it very useful over the years not to let piggies grow too particular, so I have less problems when one variety is not available or late in delivery for whatever reason.
oh that is a good idea. Bertie loves the big Burgess crunchy ones. I have just got him a new packet, but I might do a bit of a mix of both. I have loads of trouble with dog food, I dont want to get the same with the piggies...rolleyes
Harringtons. We order 3 bags at a time now and we get it down to about £12 per 10kilo sacks... Definitely a LOT cheaper than Burgess, and my piggies love the stuff! We had Burgess at one point but they were never all that keen on it. The pellets from Harringtons are so much more piggie friendly in terms of their size and get wolfed down by my lot!
I had some money off Burgess vouchers so that is what made it a bit cheaper. I might contact Harringtons and tell them how my piggies love their food.....rolleyes
my lot luckily are not fussy when it comes to nuggets, but i feed mainly harringtons and sprinkle some blackcurrant and oregano ones in a few times a week.
Mine are fed on Harringtons( and were fed that in the pet shop) but I tried one burgess with them(had some tester packs) they had a good nibble at first but don't seem to really like them(leaving them in bowl) so might just go for the cheapest option which Pepsi and Milly like best Harringtons.
I just tried mine with the Burgess Blackcurrant ones & they are a huge hit! I am still mixing them with the Harringtons but they seem to love them both
So my lot have decided they definitely prefer Harringtons to Burgess. Left the nuggets but nommed the pellets. Bonus as Harringtons is cheaper. I was surprised at the difference in size though, Burgess is huge compared to the tiny pellets by Harringtons.
